We have some exciting news: We’ve officially added five Dunkin’ locations in Wisconsin to our portfolio! Stretching from Lake Geneva to Fort Atkinson, WI, these stores are our first foray into the Wisconsin Dunkin’ market. We couldn’t be more delighted about sprinkling Shamrock Company’s mission and values throughout the Badger State!
MAKING A GAME PLAN
We spoke with Dan McGue, Shamrock Company President and CEO, to learn a little bit more about our most recent Dunkin’ project. According to Dan, the fact that we already run several Taco Bell locations in Wisconsin made acquiring Dunkin’ stores in the same area just make sense.
“Our thought has always been that we’re going to be hyper-focused on the communities in which we do business,” Dan shares. According to him, zeroing in on a few specific market areas allows us to build our businesses into the best they can be.
SOMEBODY TO LEAN ON
During an acquisition like the one in Wisconsin, Dan works closely with Shamrock’s Dunkin’ Operations Team to craft a detailed plan for each location. These plans include being extremely high touch with the new team members during the purchase and beyond.
Dan plays a huge role. He meets one-on-one with each location’s manager and has an in-depth discussion about Shamrock’s mission and values with them.
“While we span four states, we’re in a tight geography — I can drive to any store and be there within a few hours,” Dan shares. He’s clearly very committed to getting face time with Shamrock’s newest teams!

DREAMIN’ OF DONUTS
Dan shares that these new Dunkin’ locations in Wisconsin won’t be the last.
“We’re going to try to build some more … we have the ambition of doubling the size of the market,” he says. He also adds that bringing work opportunities to more people is what he’s most excited about — and we couldn’t agree more.
